Apple Sauce in the Crockpot

Easy and delicious apple sauce in the crockpot recipe from strengthandsunshine.com
Servings 5 cups

Ingredients

  • 9 Apples sliced
  • 1/3 tbsp Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 1/2 c. Water (more water to make it less thick)
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon (or other spices) optional

Instructions

  • Peel the apples (if desired) and slice them up into large chunks.
  • In the crockpot, add the apples, lemon juice, water and optional cinnamon or extra spices. Mix well.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours until the apples have broken down.
  • If you stir and the apple chunks mash up then you've cooked long enough!
  • Store in the refrigerator for 4-5 days or freeze.

Notes

I don't peel the apples. When sliced small enough, the peels when cooked don't bother us so we leave them in.
