Recently, I had a friend, who is in college, remark that my ankle socks were still too high. Apparently, my skort and sneaker “soccer mom” outfit was not as cute as I wanted it to look due to my socks (my interpretation).
I was so close to buying ONDO socks but didn’t due to the fact that they didn’t have single pairs of white socks available. I don’t do colored socks. And, that it square over the top of the foot.
I’ve also tried Bombas socks in the past, but I wasn’t a fan of how the socks squeeze the center of your foot (by design) and the fabric traps moisture, making my feet feel damp.
But then I came across Invisasox. What sold me on trying Invisasox:
- Round over the top of the foot (hoping I could wear them with flats)
- Can buy individual pairs of socks
- Has white socks
- Grips on the inside of the heel
- The heel has a little height to it so when wearing with sneakers, my heel doesn’t rub as I walk
- They work like normal cotton socks that let my feet breathe and don’t hold moisture in
- Decent price; the more you buy, the more they are discounted.
So here’s what the Invisasox look like with various shoes: (Don’t mind my scuffed-up, well-worn shoes please.)
As you can see, depending on the shoe, they aren’t always “no-show,” and I certainly can’t wear them with my boat shoes (although I’m not sure I ever would).
If you want them to be altogether no-show, then they’re primarily for sneakers. But they show just enough that I can still wear them with my glitter slides and converse shoes.
The one downside is that it says “Invisasox” in big black letters on the top of the sock. So as I’m wearing them around the house, I see the branding. It drives me a little bonkers because it feels like I am promoting their brand.
Otherwise, I am happy with my Invisasox. Now, I just wish ONDO would stop serving me ads!
