Hi, I’m Debbie. I’m a working mom of three kids and I love trying out new ways to make life better. Whether it’s a great trip, a quick and delicious recipe or tips from another mom, I’m willing to try anything that might reduce stress or make my to-do list shorter.
Lists. Oh, how I love lists. List making is my jam! I keep paper and pen on my bedside table in case I need to make a list in the middle of the night. I have a daily planner, notes in my phone, post-its everywhere…. basically I NEED to add to my lists when inspiration strikes so I can move on to the next 23049234 things to do that day.
We only get 24 hours in a day. As a working mom, automatically 5 to 6 of those hours are for sleep (if I’m lucky). The rest of the day is for trying to keep up with life. So obviously, I spend an unnecessary amount of time over-analyzing everything and doing way too much research before completing simple tasks like buying a birthday gift for a 5-year old I’ve never met.
When I find something that works for my busy life, I write it down for later. Hence, lists.
Over time, I’ve found out not everybody does this. Wait, you don’t make a “summer must-haves” list in August so you know what to dig out of the closet or re-purchase next April? Whaaat?
Beyond my love of list making is my desire to help others. It is my hope that “Mom is Trying” will help make your life easier because I’ve already tried something out for you. These posts are my experiences, likely in list form, and I hope you will find them useful too.
If you find even one of these posts useful then please let me know. Not only will it fill my heart with joy, but it will also help justify to my husband the hours I spend planning something that takes normal people 15 minutes! 🙂
And yes, I will be trying out this Amazon affiliate program, so if you click on any Amazon link on this website, I will receive some sort of commission. So, thanks in advance.
Happy reading!
