Over the past few weeks at work, I’ve noticed a few ladies microwaving their Factor freshly made, home delivered meals. Each of them have highly recommended Factor, and have gone into conversations about how delicious the meals are, and which were their favorites.
In the past, I’ve tried Mighty Meals, Freshly and Daily Harvest meal delivery services. Each have been tasty and good in their own unique ways. But in the spirit of trying something new, I looked into Factor 75.
After looking into it, I used my friend’s referral code for a discount and got 8 meals for $11, which was just the shipping cost. (Scroll to the bottom of this post for details on the current Factor meals discount.)
The delivered Factor meals were boxed very similarly to Freshly — stacked in a big box that is heavily insulated with two large 8×11 ice packs.
How Factor Meal Delivery Works
- Your weekly shipment is delivered in a box with two giant ice packs and insulation (as seen above).
- Meals need to be kept refrigerated.
- Each meal is meant to be an individual portion.
- The heating instructions say each meal should be microwaved for 2 minutes. However, some need more than 2 minutes to heat up. Stir, check and reheat if needed.
- Factor offers various meal plan sizes for each week: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 18 meals. The more meals you get per week, the (slightly) lower the cost per meal.
- When you log into their website or app, you can choose which meals you want to receive. These meal options change from week to week.
- The Cutoff for new or modified orders is Wednesdays at 11:59 p.m. CT for the following week. Once the order is placed, it cannot be cancelled.
- You can go into the system to skip weeks if you don’t want to receive a box every week.
- Once you place your first order, it automatically turns into a weekly subscription. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
The last bullets above are important — if you want to try Factor for just one week, once your order is placed, on Thursday morning, I suggest going into your account to skip the next few weeks or cancelling your subscription. That way, you have time to decide if you want to get your next shipment without the pressure of maintaining an automated subscription.
Below are some photos of the Factor meals after cooking but before any stirring. You’ll see I’m not an adventerous eater; my palate is a bit partial to the chicken breast and chili meals, but I promise they have a larger variety.
What I like about Factor Meals
The best part was the first-time customer discount! I know that was a one-time thing, but it must be stated again because what a deal! Beyond that, what I also liked about Factor meals:
- Each meal packaging clearly details the meal name, the ingredients, nutrition information, cooking instructions and “best by” date, approximately 7 days out.
- Factor meals are always fresh ingredients, never frozen.
- There is a decent variety of meal options to choose from, despite the meals I chose (pictured above).
- Although not as robust as others, the website has filters to help narrow down your menu options, including some of the more common dietary restrictions.
- Every meal I had was very flavorful and filling.
- These meals are so convenient and easy!
- Factor texts you a notification both before and after delivery. This was particularly helpful when they delivered the meals to my neighbors house — I was able to get the box and put the meals in the fridge quickly.
When not purchased on a referral discount, my 8 meals + delivery would cost $114.91, which is approximately $14 per meal. Depending on your budget, this might be a bit pricey. BUT, if I ate out regularly, these meals would easily be a cheaper or equivalent alternative to eating out.
The only “negative” I’ve found was that most of the meals I chose were 500+ calories, despite that they all came from the low calorie filter. This was a bit higher of a calorie count than my usual lunchtime meal. I could’ve probably found lower options if I spent more time, but I was shocked at the calories for a few. However, I ate them anyway and they were delicious!
If you’re in a busy season of life, maybe you’re sick, a mom on maternity leave or don’t have time to cook, these Factor meals are a great option for you. I highly recommend trying them out!

Interested in trying Factor meal delivery for yourself? I’d appreciate it if you’d use my referral URL for $150 off your first 6 boxes for new orders. (From what I can tell, they don’t do the 8 free meals for your first box anymore — sorry! but perhaps it changes from time to time?)
