Months ago, Autumn Calabrese posted an Instagram video on Oats Overnight. She poured milk in a shaker bottle, then poured in a packet, shook up the bottle contents and put it in the fridge. I had never heard of eating cold oats but that seemed like a meal prep I could handle.
Plus, if super healthy, beautiful, mom Autumn Calabrese was promoting Oats Overnight then it had to be a good breakfast option right? Bonus: I’m still breastfeeding, and oats are supposed to help milk production!
So of course I had to try this time-saving, healthy, filling breakfast option for myself. Is this for real?
I have to admit, the first few days were strange. I did not immediately love it; however, once I got over drinking cold oatmeal and got better at shaking my oats, I really came to rely on my oats overnight. The best part? It takes seconds to grab it from the fridge, and I drink breakfast on the go.
In the spirit of “mom is trying,” I’ve tried each of the 9 flavors they have, excluding the 2 coffee flavors (coffee doesn’t agree with my stomach). Below is my Oats Overnight review of each flavor.
Note: to prepare, I combined one packet with 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk in a shaker cup and shook a lot before putting them in the fridge.
Peach Upside Down Cake. I was most excited to try this one. Maybe it’s because of the cute flipped upside down label? Peach upside down cake did not disappoint. It was runny but very flavorful. You’ll have to chew the little chunks of peaches, but it’s a nice spring/summer flavor.

Blueberry Cobbler has more of a cobbler flavor with a subtle blueberry after taste. It has actual mini blueberries in it, so you have to chew this one, but it is a nice balance of flavor. I’ve found this flavor does need a bit more shaking to avoid clumps of powder.

Maple Pancakes. If you like pancakes for breakfast, this is your gentle reminder but healthier substitute. This light flavor goes down easily and brings that comfort food feeling with it.

Strawberries & Cream has a very strong strawberry flavor that you can smell before you even taste it. It genuinely tastes like cold strawberry oatmeal. Not too powerful but still full of flavor. I make sure to shake this one more than the others since it seems to keep powder clumps more easily.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana is flavorful but not overpowering. Its delicious, creamy chocolate flavor lasts long after the drink is done. It’s almost like a chewy version of chocolate milk. Definitely one of my favorites, but I also love chocolate, so that’s not surprising.

Gingerbread is more runny than the others, but it tastes exactly like you think it would. If you are a fan of strong gingerbread flavor, then this is the Oats Overnight flavor for you! This is a seasonal flavor, only available through OatsOvernight.com.
Pumpkin Spice is very flavorful. Its strong pumpkin smell and taste is perfect for those who love pumpkin everything. Plus, the consistency was just right; not too thick and not too watery. Sorry, that sounds a bit like Goldilocks, but just telling it like it is! This is a seasonal flavor, only available through OatsOvernight.com.
Green Apple Cinnamon is similar to the instant apple cinnamon oatmeal flavor but soooo much stronger. This powerful flavor hits your tastebuds from the first drink and stays long after the last bit is gone.

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Cacao Crunch really surprised me. It has a subtle peanut butter flavor with chocolate bits, but it is not too sweet. The taste is light enough to enjoy but you don’t feel like you are eating Reese’s for breakfast or anything.

They also have Mocha Dream and Chai Latte flavors, but since I can’t have anything coffee-flavored, I did not try those.

At this point, I’ve been using Oats Overnight so long that when I forget to make my oats the night before, I struggle with what to make myself for breakfast. Everything else takes so long! Who has time to sit and eat a bowl of cereal or scrambled eggs? Not this mom!
If you try it and love it too, you can set up a regular shipment through the OatsOvernight.com website which lets you customize your shipment to only the flavors you want. Subscribers get 10% off, and you can delay shipments as needed. Also, their customer service is really responsive.

I just tried the carrot cake flavor. I found it to be very bland, and without much flavor at all. Disappointed. Love the peach cobbler, and maple pancake…they are great.

Yes, agreed! Peach upside-down cake and maple pancakes are two of my regular flavors. The test flavors are always a little hit or miss for me too, but it’s great we don’t have to pay for those and get to try them!

I wholeheartedly agree with your review. I am now on my third month of subscriptions and I eat it Every.Single.Day. I have also lost 31 pounds utilizing this mostly-healthy breakfast.

Wow that’s amazing! Kudos to you! I still have my Oats Overnight for breakfast almost every morning. Sometimes I switch out the flavors, but otherwise, I still love it. I’m glad to hear from another OO fan 🙂 Thanks for reading!
