I’m a “snack between lunch and dinner” type of person, but always have trouble finding something that’s filling yet nutritious or healthy-ish and limited on sugar. So when I came across Aloha’s plant-based protein bars, I was intrigued and thought I’d give them a try.
Aloha’s plant-based protein bars are:
- Plant-based protein (~14g)
- Organic
- Vegan
- Gluten-Free
- Stevia-Free
- Dairy-Free
- Free of artificial ingredients
- High in fiber (~10g)
- Low in sugar (~5g)
I was skeptical of the Aloha bars at first because I didn’t really understand how something “plant based” could taste good. However, I was drawn to the lack of artificial ingredients (no Stevia!) and the chocolate flavors!
Each bar is about 220 calories, which is a bit more than the recommended “snack” allotment, but I’m so glad I tried these bars. They don’t taste plant-based, and I feel like they’re a lot cleaner to eat than most bars I could snack on.
And because of the clean ingredients, I don’t feel bad giving them to my kids! These are staples in our on-the-go snack bag.
Since I found the flavors I liked: Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Mint, I’ve become an avid fan of Aloha bars, always keeping a box in stock.
There are 11 different flavors, such as peanut butter chocolate chip, coconut chocolate almond, lemon cashew, and chocolate espresso. There are also seasonal flavors: peppermint white chocolate and pumpkin spice.

Interested in trying Aloha protein bars?
I started with a variety pack since I wasn’t sure what flavor I would like, if I’d like them at all. The Aloha website sells the 12-bar box for $37, which is a bit steep for a bar.
BUT, at the time of publishing this post, a 12-pack of Aloha protein bars on Thrive Market is $23. Or, you can get individual bars from Whole Foods/Amazon for $2.49 each ($30 for 12) or $1.80 each ($22 for 12) for Amazon Prime users.
Have you tried Aloha protein bars or any Aloha products? I’d love to hear what you think! Or, do you know of other protein bars you’d recommend that are similar in plant-based, low-sugar ingredients? Comment below!
