Let’s talk about that time of the month – the moment I open my monthly shipment of Oats Overnight. Obvi!
You see, I’m a dedicated Oats Overnights customer, and at some point in 2020 they started sending packets of test flavors to their monthly subscribers! They’re free, and we provide them feedback.
Now every month, I’ve receive free 2-3 packets of a new “flavor in development.” I know it’s silly, but it’s exciting to open a box each month and see these packets at the top.
I love trying the new flavors! #tryingit
If you don’t know much about Oats Overnight, here are a few helpful tidbits:
- If you’re a beginner, start by reading my review of the original Oats Overnight flavors »
- Oats Overnight customer support is AMAZING. If you have a question, reach out to them. They’re the best.
- Subscribers get 10% off. Learn more about subscriptions »
- Monthly subscribers also get access to the Oats Overnight subscriber Facebook group where we talk about potential new flavors, get jealous over swag some subscribers get in their boxes, see behind-the-scenes photos, etc.
- Subscribers can customize your combination of flavors. For example 3 Blueberry Cobbler, 2 Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie and 3 Maple Pancakes.
- I add a scoop of TruMarine collagen to my oats. It’s flavorless but gives me added nutrients on top of the protein in the oats.
New Oats Overnight Flavors Review
Orange Creamsicle. I was honestly dreading this one, but was SO shocked. My initial thought was “it tastes like fruity pebbles and oatmeal mixed together.” And later, it made me think of the orange soda drink Slice. It tastes like you’re eating something super sugary but only has 7 g. of sugar. Such a pleasant surprise!

Birthday Cake. I was SO EXCITED to try birthday cake. I LOVE cake and all things birthday cake flavored. When you make your shake, it smells AMAZING! But, when drinking, the flavor is elusive instead of long-lasting. Because of the whey protein, it is more liquid-y than the other oats flavors too.

While Birthday Cake won’t make it into my regular subscription box, it was favored among enough people that it is now a regular flavor. Shop Birthday Cake Oats Overnight »
Snickerdoodle. I’m not a snickerdoodle cookie fan, but I was delightfully surprised by this one. Yes, the flavor is strong, but its cinnamon flavor settles on your tongue without being overpowering like the Green Apple Cinnamon is for me.

Snickerdoodle was popular enough to become a seasonal flavor with a cute holiday season packet design. Although it’s not a regular flavor, I’ve been able to get a few packets each month by emailing the Oats Overnight team.
Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie was very minty but not too overpowering. If you want to drink minty oats, it is perfect. I don’t taste any chocolate at all, it really was just “mint oats” for me. And the support team says it’s runnier because of the whey protein.

While I wasn’t a fan of mint in my breakfast, the Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie flavor was a HIT in the subscriber Facebook group. Its release included a limited Oats Overnight shaker bottle, which people went nuts for. hehe! Shop Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie »
Somehow my monthly shipment date resulted in me not receiving Red Velvet, but there are some flavors in development that I’m really hoping make it to the subscriber exclusive packets!
