Ever since completing the “Save the Chubby Mermaids” virtual 5K with I Run 4 Movement, I’ve been keeping an eye out for another fun run to sign up for. My criteria: a fun name with a great t-shirt or swag. And of course, not too expensive; it is just a virtual run after all.
Then one day, boom, I saw this Fa La La La Llama 5K and had to sign up.
Plus, it’s practically the holiday season right? Time to get into that spirit!
Every time I wear this t-shirt, I chuckle a little on the inside. My kids think it’s hilarious. It feels holiday festive without being over the top.
And, who doesn’t love llamas?
How does a virtual race work?
If you’ve never done a virtual 5K before, these I Run 4 Movement races make it super simple for you. You sign-up online, and they send you your selected shirt, medal and race bib in the mail immediately. Then, you complete your race at your leisure.
Run or walk on a treadmill or outside, it doesn’t matter, just finish it!
You don’t report your completion time so honestly, you could not finish it… but what’s the fun in that?

I finished the Fa La La Llama 5K!
I’m still adjusting to the cold outside so I did this 5K from the gym. And yup, I definitely took the photo before starting the 5K, but you can see how big the print is on the shirt.
You can’t be working out, see that llama and not smile? Or start singing “Tis the Season to be Jolly,” am I right?
I should’ve worn my medal around my neck for the rest of the day! Ha! Fa la la la la….

Even though this race was outside of my Yes.Fit virtual races wheelhouse, I am glad I tried it! What a fun race to be a part of. And of course, I love that t-shirt; the material is so soft!
