Every year, I wait too long to buy advent calendars and gingerbread house kits. It’s not even Halloween yet so I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I’ve started seeing advent calendar promotions and I figured I’d jump on it.
In case you tend to put off buying advent calendars too, feel free to quickly browse my favorite finds below, all of which can be purchased off Amazon for easy holiday prep.
Note: I try to stay away from chocolate or make-up advent calendars. It grosses me out to think of how long ago those were made!
Toddler Advent Calendars
I always find the most challenging advent calendars to buy are for my younger kids. What do you get when jewelry, trinkets, tiny toys and legos are choking hazards? Last year, I got tiny books, which we’ve read throughout the year. This year, finger puppets!
But you have to really search hard to find age-appropriate calendars for toddlers. Hopefully, this helps your search, if you have a youngin’.
Disney Storybook Collection (24 mini books)
Rubber Ducks (24 bath squeeze toys)
3+ Kid Advent Calendars
When they’re just old enough to (hopefully) not eat any of the items or stick them up their nose, you can get a little more creative with the calendars. But likely as the new year progresses, all of the items end up in the trash can… shhh!
My Little Pony (pony figures)
Disney Junior (figures, decorations, stickers)
Disney’s Encanto (Encanto movie figurines)
Play-Doh Advent Calendar (Accessories, Playmats, Cans)
Paw Patrol Snow Pups (figurines and snow accessories)
Young Girls Advent Calendars
Yes, these are stereotypical “girls” calendars, but these were legit ones that caught my daughter’s eye, so perhaps your youngin might like one of them too.
Barbie Advent Calendar (Doll, clothes and accessories)
Horse Club (animal figurines and accessories)
Young Boys Advent Calendars
Same as above, yes these are stereotypical “boys” calendars, that your young girls might like too. However, these were ones that would be great for my son, for your consideration.
Military Army Soldiers (action figures and accessories)
National Geographic Science Kit (24 experiments)
Are there any Advent calendars above that your kid might love? Are you also in denial that we need to be even thinking about Advent calendars months before Christmas? Or, do you have another type of Advent calendar us parents should consider for our kiddos? Comment below!
‘Tis the season…. almost! Cheers!
