I do 99% of the shopping in my house, including Christmas gifts. So for Christmas, I really just want something either that really shows the giver knows me or a gift that is useful and will make my life easier.
Below are a few items I’ve recently purchased for myself and love. If you decide to purchase one for your mom, friend or yourself, I hope you get as much joy out of them as I have.
Gifts to Keep Mom Warm
Pair the below items with a cute warm scarf or some tea and hot chocolate, to give mom the gift of extra warmth during this winter season.
Fleece Lining Fuzzy Slipper Socks. There are so many designs available, but something to keep the feet warm is always a good idea – especially if they fit in snow boots! You might need to buy two pairs so one is always available while the other is in the laundry. I may have bought these for stocking stuffers too.
Heated Mattress Pad. My bedroom is the coldest room in the house (even the basement is warmer), and I’d dread getting into cold sheets at night. This heated mattress pad was a game-changer! Especially the pre-heat setting and auto-off so I don’t have to remember to turn it off in the morning. I’m a HUGE fan.
Pottery Barn Throws. I love throw blankets; they are all over my house. But I especially love Pottery Barn throws. There are so many beautiful options, and they make such a classy, cozy gift. My personal favorite are their Cozy Cable Knit throws.
Convenience Gifts for Mom
Pair these with some bath bombs, deep sleep pillow spray or each other for a thoughtful yet useful gift. (If you can’t tell, I hate having cold, wet hair during the winter.)
Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Brush. This hairdryer and brush in one makes blow-drying hair simple. I bought it after reading tons of recommendations from friends and other bloggers. And, it’s so efficient. I highly recommended it!

Kitsch Microfiber Hair Drying Scrunchies. This scrunchie not only keeps your hair up but the microfiber fabric helps dry your hair too. Whether mom wears her wet hair up overnight, before blowdrying or for style, these scrunchies will be well used!
There are other colors available, but make sure you get the microfiber scrunchie; otherwise, it’s just a regular scrunchie.
AirPods Case. I use my AirPods daily, whether it’s for work or to listen to an audiobook while doing the dishes or cooking. I love the color of the case but also the non-slip exterior with the clip so it’s easy to find and hold on to.
Of course, if she doesn’t have Apple AirPods, you could always get her those too.
Microfiber towel. Lighter than a regular bath towel yet so much more absorbent, these microfiber towels speed up my air-dry time significantly. Plus, it is super soft and although this one’s brand is Curly Girl, it can be useful for all hair types.
Comfortable Yet Cute Gifts for Mom
All the moms I know want to look cute but with very little effort. Especially since most days, we’re quarantined in our house, comfort is key! These items are exactly that for me.
Color Block Plaid Sweatshirt. I discovered this at a kid’s birthday party; another mom was wearing it and I had to asked her where she got it. I’ve been asked a few times about it as well. The color block of plaid adds a touch of style without adding accessories or layers.
Old Navy pajama pants. This holiday season’s patterns of the Old Navy pajama pants are so cute, and the fit is true to size and comfortable. The patterned flannel pajama pants were my favorite but overall, these are such a win! Note: the sizing of the tops is super wonky so beware on the matching tops.
Lou & Grey Sweatshirts. Loft’s Lou & Grey line , Right now, I’m especially loving their Signature Softblend Sweatshirt (especially the festive Tango Red!) and Heart Terry Sweatshirt since they can be worn casually around the house or out with the kids.
I know there are sooooo many other options out there and everyone’s tastes are different, but if none of the above work for you, please let me know what did! What are your must-haves? What does your mom love? I am always looking for new things to try that make life easier and happier.
Happy holidays!
