Maybe it’s all the summer sales, but I’ve been coming across some really fun and interesting finds for less than $20 this month. Are you’re looking for a gift for mom or a treat for yourself? I think any lady would appreciate being treated with some of these super cute items.
Nordstrom Sale
Of course I had to start with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This sale is a BIG DEAL in my world, and I love using the less than $25 filter to see if there are any items I could snag for Christmas gifts or a White Elephant Gift Swap gift.
- Anthropologie Attingham spoon rest ($9.90) and set of 4 measuring spoons ($11.90). OK, so they are sold separately but how sweet are these together? So adorable! I bought the measuring spoons and then returned them because I just spent way too much money at the sale, but they were so sweet!
- I’m a sucker for pretty costume jewelry and this sale had a few options! Madewell Circle Statement Earrings ($18.90), Nordstrom Cubic Zirconia Pendant Necklace ($18.90) in three different colors, and Nordstrom Cubic Zirconia Stud Earrings ($14.90) in gold or silver.
- For those who love candles, try the Voluspa Maison Blanc Mini Tin Candle Set ($17.90).
Note: If they’re still available (sale items go quickly!), prices go up when the Nordstrom’s anniversary sale ends August 4th.
Anthropologie Accessories
I rarely shop at Anthropologie, but a friend mentioned that headbands were coming back in style so I had to take a look and FELL IN LOVE. Ladies, these are not the same as the headbands from the 90s. I think they look super cute with your hair up in a ponytail, messy bun, or whatever you have time to do with it that day.
So I went to the store to see them in person and discovered a bunch of other sweet accessories too! Plus, I signed up for Anthropologie rewards and got 20% off! I mean, it’s practically free, right?! LOL
I limited myself to buying only three accessories, one of which I don’t see online, but these were some of my favorites:
- KyraTwist Headband ($18.00) — I was drawn to the slate blue, but it comes in five different beautiful colors.
- Ellen Bow Ponytail Holder Set ($15.00) — Gingham pattern always reminds me of being at an outdoor picnic in the summer.
- Pleated Twist Headband ($18.00) — No other pattern shouts “SUMMER” like seersucker! It comes in five different colors.
- Seersucker Ponytail Holder Set ($18.00) — Again, it’s seersucker. I HAD to buy these, and there are three different color combinations.
- Reese Bow Headband ($18.00) — I wish I had seen this one at the store! I LOVE the navy, but it comes in six colors.
- Monogram Charm Necklace ($12.00) — I love wearing necklaces with my kids’ initials, and at $12, I can buy three and it’s still a good price! The cubic zirconia in the letters is a nice detail and pop of sparkle!
There were so many beautiful options, it was honestly hard to choose. Take a look for yourself at Anthopologie.com. Even sorting by items less than $20 accessories resulted in two pages to look through!
Girl, Stop Apologizing!
Earlier this month I started reading (OK, really listening to) “Girl, Stop Apologizing!” and am LOVING IT! So many great quotes in there that I find I have to pause it and just repeat some phrases to myself in an attempt to soak it in before moving on.
Similar to “Girl, Wash Your Face,” ($13.49) this book is empowering and insightful. I might not directly relate to each of her scenarios, but her last book motivated me to start this blog, so she is really speaking to this working mom’s heart.
If you’re looking for some life motivation and empowerment weaved through logical stories and scenarios, try “Girl, Stop Apologizing!” ($11.15).
Do you own any of the items listed above or do you have any other favorite finds and gifts you’ve purchased for $20 or less this month? I’d love to hear about it!
